In My Wilderness I Heard You Cry!
We all have stories. Some of our stories are one dimensional- for others, one event triggering multiple ripples that effect our lives and the lives of those around us. Our spouses, children, parents, neighbors and countless others live out the consequences of our life's path.
The subject of our presentation had a collective of life experiences that individually, could have easily toppled any one of us. WE have all heard of the damage done by unloving, judgmental church family, witnessing horrific and tragic deaths, child abuse, molestation, domestic violence, rape, abandonment, ostracized by biological and extended family, lack of identity, disillusionment and self-hate. This is only a portion of her list. We failed to mention multiple physical & emotional health issues including a botched Medical procedure that led to more of the above. Unfortunately, yes, the list goes on for her. Who? She was born May 23, 1956, to Phyllis a teen mother and well, a father whose identity is still not certain. You'll find in spite of the unbelievable obstacles endured, Just Teri, did not lose faith or hope OR trust in God.
Her story is poured out before you in this one Woman production of word, song and music. It ends with the most important things of all; faith, hope and forgiveness.
